Alaska Rafting Trips - Prices and Reservations

   Make reservations for your Alaskan Rafting Adventures early! If you can't decide when or where you want to go in Alaska, call us. We're more than happy to help you plan the best Alaska vaction possible. The raft trip may just be a small part of that overall package. No Problem. We know that if you have an enjoyable time and get a good value you'll be back-with us. With information such as your budget, the time you have available and activities you would prefer, we can make plenty of suggestions for places to go and things to do.

   Once you've decided on your raft trip we'll need a 50% deposit. The remainder of is due 30 days before the start of your raft trip. In some cases it may be possible to book with less than 30 days notice. When reservations are made with less than 30 days notice full payment is due immediately. If you're going to use a credit card, we accept Mastercard or Visa.

   Upon receipt of your deposit, we'll send you a registration packet detailing what we provide, what to bring, baggage/weight restrictions, your travel arrangements, rendezvous locations and a day by day itinerary. Also included will be a release form and questionnaire regarding your group's age, size, physical measurements, medical and dietary considerations. This will formalize the details we've already discussed by phone.
We can also help you to make arrangements for airport pick-ups, hotel reservations and van shuttles to our trip meeting points. All multi-day expeditions should plan on flying into and out of Anchorage. For those wanting to spend time in the Denali area it is also possible to fly into Fairbanks; however, this will cost a bit more.

   Lastly, we reserve the right to alter trip itineraries or change locations if necessary due to weather, changes in water level or other factors beyond our control. It is always a good idea to plan an extra day into your schedule to allow for these contingencies.

Alaska Rafting Trips - Meeting Points

Nenana River Trips

Our office for the Nenana River/Denali Park area is located on the north bank of the Nenana River next to the bridge at Milepost 238 of the Parks Hwy. We're right next to the ERA Helcopters heli-pad, 1/4 mile north of the main entrance to Denali National Park. All our trips in the Denali area begin here. For our expeditions we'll meet you here at 9:00 a.m. For our day trips we have several scheduled departures so meeting times will vary-call us at 800-789-RAFT.

Sixmile Creek

Our Sixmile Creek river trips are operated by our sister company, Chugach Outdoor Center, Inc. Their river office is located at milepost 7.5 on the west side of the Hope Highway. To get there from Anchorage go south on the Seward Hwy. to the Hope Junction, turn right (north) and proceed 7.5 miles down the Hope Highwway. The Hope Junction is 70 miles from downtown Anchorage. Check-in times are 9AM and 2PM. Call them toll-free at 1-866-277-RAFT (7238). Anchorage area residents can dial locally at 277-RAFT

Talkeetna River Trips

Our rendezvous point for our Talkeetna expeditions is the Doug Geeting Aviation hangar at the Talkeetna Airport. The phone number for Doug Geeting Aviation is (907) 733-3666.

Sixmile Creek

Refund Policy

   If you need to change the date or time of your trip, you may do so at no charge so long as the change is made at least 12 hours before the date of the original reservation. It is important that you speak with our office personnel during regular business hours (7:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.) to make such changes. For safety reasons, we forward our office phones so that they can be answered in emergency situations outside regular business hours. However, reservation changes and requests for refunds can only be handled by our business office during regular business hours.

   If you decide to cancel your reservation, you must do so at least 48 hours before your reservation to receive a full refund. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the reserved date and time of the raft trip do not receive any refund.

   In general, all raft trips require a minimum of 4 paying passengers in order for us to run them. This is rarely an issue during the period between Memorial Day and Labor Day; occasionally, however, it is necessary for us to cancel raft trips which cannot be run on an economical basis. If a trip does not "make," Nenana Raft will gladly refund your money or make arrangements to reschedule your trip, at your option.

   On rare occasions, weather, water levels, or other acts of nature may require Nenana Raft to change the section of river being run for its whitewater or wilderness run raft trips. In general during periods of very high water, we shift the location of our raft trips to sections of river upstream of the Nenana Gorge. We reserve the right to do this and do not issue refunds for these situations.

   Should Nenana Raft have to cancel a trip, you will receive a full refund or you may reschedule, at your option.

   We make every reasonable effort to accommodate the needs of our guests.
